Wowing visitors with holiday décor, the home had to also impress with selections that work year-round and for years to come. “When we start the design process on a spec home like this one, we’re already working with a designer [on interior selections],” says the home’s builder, David Lyne of Seven Custom Homes.
A Cinnamon Shore homeowner himself, interior designer Christopher Beach of Austin’s Decorum Home + Design understands how the setting seeps into every room. “I got my color palette from the sea, the sand, and the dunes themselves,” Christopher says. In the second-floor main living space, a kitchen featuring SKS Appliances has the sophistication buyers wanted. A sleek, stainless stove complements an island with marbleized, waterfall edges, while the adjacent dining area overlooks a fireplace-centric den. With appliance choices facilitated by Ferguson Home, the kitchen and wet bars throughout signal indulgence.
Timeless Touches
“You can’t have luxury if you don’t have sustainability,” says David. Familiar with the challenges of constructing at the coast, he understands the value of using new product lines and long-lasting elements. “One of the first things you look at on the coast is wind, the humidity. All the products that you put into the home or place on the exterior have to take that into account,” he says.
He appreciates the quality of home tour sponsors Ferguson Home, SKS Appliances, and siding purveyor James Hardie. “The entire exterior is covered in James Hardie product,” David says. “It’s made to withstand the environment, [it holds] up to the moisture coming in or humidity. Just a phenomenal product.”

Driftwood browns and sky blue set the tone for many Gulf front-facing rooms in this beachfront masterpiece. Rope detailing on lighting, brass framing on bar stools, and brushed brass for plumbing fixtures nod to the nautical.
